Rescheduled my blogtalk & RIP Michael Jackson

Posted by | June 26, 2009 .

Today, Thursday, June 25th was one crazy day. Plans to host my regular blogtalk show on natural health and wellness with my special co-host Bro. Hondo had to be rescheduled due to my personal schedule clashed with radio time. My 12-year-old son participated in a 2-week program this summer on Economics and tonight was his last night with a special program. With my hectic schedule I forgot this may run too close to my air time so I am rescheduling the show on “Changing over to a healthier diet” until a future date. Stay tune, I will post the time I plan to cover that topic.

In the mist of this hectic schedule on a very hot and humid day, the unbelievable news that my favorite entertainer, dancer and singer Michael Jackson died hit the air waves. I first read it in an email from Pearl Jr of California with an report that an ambulance had just left his home. I later read on Twitter he had cardiac arrest. Still praying that it may not be as serious as it sounded I was mjdriving home hearing all types of reports. By the time I was home reports confirmed he had died. Here is a man people had so many opinions about as far as his lifestyle and the choices he made in plastic surgery, but one thing I knew for sure is that he brought much joy to my life through his songs and performances. From the time I was very young and he first came on the scene he just blew everyone away with his talents. I saw many concerts at The Olympic Stadium, in Detroit of The Jackson Five and those were truly some of the biggest highlights of my life. Then when I went away to college the “Off the Wall” album came out and we partied, partied and partied some more from that album; some of his best work. He continued to amaze the world with his unbelievable performances and spectacular voice.

j5I still can’t believe it. I send out my condolences to the Jackson family and the world. God allowed Michael Jackson to shine on this earth. Now Michael Jackson is resting in peace until his change comes as Job talked about in Job 14:14-15.

Let’s just all remember what the bible says:
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice. And shall come forth: John 5: 28-29
