I have been posting various interesting health articles I come across on my facebook fan page to share wth my followers because it is a quick way to repost important updates. Monday, May 30th when many were out celebrating Memorial Day several health articles ran on the internet that we all need to review about the foods we eat.

When it comes to what we eat some people say you just can’t worry about everything. There is something wrong with everything if you really look hard enough. I say “when you know better you do better.”

People like Dr. Mercola, Pharmacist Suzy Cohn work hard to keep us abreast of our foods, supplements and medications. The internet makes it easier to stay knowledgeable. Between my health blog and my facebook and twitter I try to share all the valuable articles I come across. For the last few days several informative articles on the foods we eat came across my computer screen and I just had to share on my blog.

Supplements:
For post-menopausal women Suzy Cohn shared what you need to know if you decide to start taking calcium – Calcium Supplements May Raise Heart Attack Risk. Facts we need to know.

Food:
Dr. Mercola posted an article on why you should avoid supermarket food that contains genetically modified organisms (GMO), fructose, and artificial sweeteners – Top 7 Supermarket Foods to Avoid. The Atlanta Wellness Examiner shared information on Genetically modified foods with a great downloadable shopping guide to help you avoid GMO foods. Read – Evidence: Babies absorb toxic genetically modified (GM) insecticide from mom.

I had to share two other mind-blowing articles on gum and sodas that is very revealing too:

What’s Lurking in Your Chewing Gum? – Aspartame | Become a Healthier You

What Happens To Your Body Within An Hour Of Drinking A Coke | NutritionResearchCenter.org

When we think of all the different things going on with the food and supplements we purchase it can feel overwhelming, but knowledge is power, so stay informed and stay healthy!

If you like reading health updates on the food and supplements we take subscribe to this blog and follow me on facebook and twitter.

Have a great week!
