Getting fit in 2012

So it is a new calendar year and everyone is setting goals and resolutions. I’ve been working on my goals and resolutions for months. With completing school for Massage Therapy I am now looking at more training, gaining experience and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some other Massage Therapists who have shared great advice and business tips with me. I am continuing to learn the benefits of networking online and offline. So you will continue to see me on Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter (my favorite hang outs), I also plan to attend some Meet-up groups this year. My latest Twitter handle I have to stay in contact with clients is @massagesbymarge. I am ready with my massage table and chair. I am making myself available as a mobile wellness spa with my massage therapy and my ZYTO Compass scan. I will be starting my 90 day colon cleanse soon, as I gather all the products needed. One of my goals is to get fit and drop the extra pounds. I have joined Curves in Blue Island, Illinois and I love the atmosphere. It is so warm and cozy and everyone is very friendly. The Tuesday evening Zumba classes are LIVE with E’a my Zumba instructor. Checkout her youtube channel and you will see what I mean. Zumba is so much fun and it’s sexy. You forget you are working out and you just get into the music and have a good time.

I haven’t observed the traditions of Christmas in over 20 years. God opened my eyes to knowledge and understanding in His Word when I was young and I have been growing in His Word since then. I love when Dr. Oz educates us on the benefits of natural herbs – power food! Plants, flowers, roots have many medicinal benefits. Think about garlic, parsley and other herbs we come across everyday that have various affects such as a natural antibiotic, offers nutrition, cleanse and build the body.

It has been about a month now since my ZYTO Compass scanner was delivered to my home office. This is a tool I’ve wanted for a while, but was motivated to go ahead and get it after I attended an event here in Chicago sponsored by Dr. Hugh Jenkins and representatives from ZYTO Compass. The presenter clearly explained how this scanner works and how they were able to link all of Nature Sunshine’s products to this software.

You can watch a video I posted on a previous blog post. It is a simple test herbalists and natural health practitioners can offer their clients. It only takes about 5 minutes. It helps people to know which supplements their bodies prefers. It has been helping my clients to be more aware of their weaker body systems. I am excited to be able and help my clients and my own family get on healthy programs. I am already seeing the benefits with myself and my family.

My goal is to be Fit and 50 and my role models are beautiful ladies like Christy Brinkley, Angela Bassett, Suzanne Somers and Pam Grier. They all show how you can be beautiful, active, smart women after 50!

I plan to stay active. I’ve been doing the Michael Jackson: Experience dance game for wii. I want to also get Just Dance 2 and Zumba for wii. I want to have fun while working out, so I decided dancing would be the best way. Dancing is one thing I have always enjoyed. This past week I wrote an article for The Chicago Holistic Examiner sharing natural ways people can deal with Sickle Cell disease. This blood disorder is present in one in every 500 African-American births. I shared some testimonies in my article.
